After School Programs

Rock climbing is an excellent way for kids to conquer fears, develop strength, confidence, co-ordination, and motor control at every stage of their development. Indoor rock climbing is unique in that all students are able to experience individual success no matter what their physical ability is.

Recreational Classes: Climbers meet once a week for 1 to 1½ hour practices. These classes are great for new climbers, young climbers and those just looking to have fun! These classes offer exposure to climbing in an encouraging and exciting environment. Lots of games, relays and activities will be utilized to teach them the basics and grow their skills. Coaches focus on safety, climbing basics, skill development, teamwork and fun! Climbing is a full body workout and participants should expect to sweat!

Intermediate Classes: For kids who have done a few sessions of recreational classes and are wanting to move onto more challenging skill and fitness focused classes. While climbers are not expected to compete, coaches do start to introduce the climbers to the formats and training required to prepare those that are keen to dabble in one if they chose to!

Advanced Classes: Experienced climbers meet twice per week in order to further accelerate their progress. These programs aim to build the skills and foundation required to excel into youth and adult competitors. Practices include endurance training, power and strength building exercises, advanced climbing techniques, teamwork and practice competitions.
